Propane is a
hydrocarbon and along with other liquefied
petroleum gases is a component of both natural
gas and crude oil. It is obtained from the
refining of crude oil or through the processing
of natural gas. Under normal conditions of use,
propane is a clean burning fuel with
approximately 2 1/2 times the BTU’s
contained in a cubic foot of methane, which is
the principal component of natural gas.

The budget plan is
the most convenient way for most customers to pay
their gas bills. Based on the amount of gas used
the previous year, coupled with some adjustments
for normal winter weather, we calculate your
annual bill. We divide that figure into equal
payments, with the first payment due in July.
As a budget customer you will find that the equal
monthly payments are convenient and cost
effective. You will also receive the peace of
mind of our automatic delivery service and the 2 cent per
gallon discount on each delivery.
You will receive a detailed statement each month
showing any and all account activity.
Pay only for the propane you use during a
30 day period. This is done by installing a vapor meter on your house. The meter is read
by HGS every month and an invoice is mailed to
you.
An automatic bill
payment plan, Propay, is a convenient, easy way
to pay your propane bill. You simply authorize us
to debit your checking, savings, or draft account
to pay your bill.
All deliveries of
propane where credit has been extended are due
and payable within 30 days of the delivery (Net
30 days terms). A discount per gallon may be
offered to those customers who have their tanks
filled and pay for their delivery within ten
days. Visa/Mastercard accepted.
Comfort 24 delivery
customers are delivered according to a
"degree day" system. Each account has a
usage factor that is established based upon the
total gas load of the home. When the weather
warrants gas usage, our computer figures the
amount of gas you will need and when you will
need it. Your delivery is then automatically
scheduled for you. Automatic delivery enables us
to hold costs of delivery down by dispatching
more effectively.
We provide preventative maintenance and system inspections
at no additional charge. The 30 to 90 minutes
necessary to conduct this inspection allows us
sufficient time to:
1. Pressure check
your entire propane system and check for leaks.
2. Inspect the
tank, piping, regulators, gauges, valves, venting
and appliance controls.
3. Inform you of
any equipment that may be worn or damaged and
should be replaced.
4. Recommend any
improvements that will be of long term benefit to
your system.
5. Advise you of
the safe and efficient way of operating your
propane system and leave instructional materials
on handling emergencies.
